The 5 Hole: Brutal Premiere on Broadway

Can you think of a bigger way to kick of the 2016-17 season that Islanders vs Rangers? No, neither can I. The Islanders swept the Blueshirts four straight games last season which was one element in such a high-profile affair. Both these teams went through major off-season changes that were be showcased tonight. Add in 19-year old Anthony Beauvillier making his NHL debut, and you knew this was going to be a memorable night. On to the game, where the Islanders couldn’t get their legs under them and fell to the Rangers 5-3. The Isles will look to rebound and pick up their first win Saturday night in Washington. The first social media recap of the season can be seen below.

Welcome back, #isles hockey.

We missed you.
